Dr. Peter J. Zed is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Practice Innovation with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia.Throughout his career, Dr. Zed has maintained a high level of innovative clinical practice in emergency medicine, and is nationally recognized and respected for his contributions. Dr. Zed has delivered over 270 presentations at local, provincial and national events, with a long-standing professional service record serving as chair or member of numerous provincial and national committees.

Dr. Bruce Carleton is a Professor of Paediatrics and Co-Chair of the Division of Translational Therapeutics at UBC’s Department of Pediatric Medicine. Dr. Carleton’s lifelong goal is to make medication use more effective and safe for patients. His research focus is the impact of drug therapy on human health and quality of life, in particular, to developing better ways to evaluate the effectiveness of drugs; medication-use models designed to improve patient health; and practical surveillance systems to improve the safe use of medication.
